#International Student Life ·2024-09-03
As an international student, I have started a new journey of study and life. From dragging heavy luggage, anxiety, expectation and fear, in fact, many people think that studying abroad is very glamorous, it is just the surface, the most important thing is that you must learn to interpersonal communication, even if you do not know the language, you must understand the school's official website, because foreign learning, notification, dormitory life are carried out on the official website. There is also the need to navigate to other places may not lead you to the right way, but also rely on their own trial and error, of course, the process of trial and error is the process of our growth. At this moment, I understood that this would be a challenging and rewarding experience.
When I first came to South Korea, I did feel anxious and afraid in the face of unfamiliar environment and unfamiliar language. But since I have chosen this path, I will walk it firmly. I worked hard to learn Korean, starting with simple "thank you" (감사합니다) and "hello" (안녕하세요), and gradually became able to communicate in Korean everyday. This not only made my life in South Korea more convenient, but also allowed me to experience Korean culture more deeply.
Life in South Korea has not been easy, and I have been troubled by the unaccustomed food. South Korea's kimchi, pickled cabbage and other special food, at first really let me a little difficult to accept. But over time, I got used to the diet and even started to enjoy it. The supermarket near my school and oliveyoung, a Korean makeup brand, have been small blessings in my life, allowing me to find something I know and love.
Of course, studying abroad is not only about learning languages and cultures, but also about making friends from all over the world. I met a lot of interesting and wonderful foreign friends like shasa and somi. They are not only fluent in Korean, but also able to communicate with teachers freely, which gives me a lot of help in my study. Being with them, I feel the warmth of friendship and broaden my horizon. We learn from each other, encourage each other and grow together.
In Korean classrooms, I experienced an open educational atmosphere. The teachers encouraged us to speak up, even if it was a mix of Chinese, English and Korean. At first, I did not understand it, but as time went on, I gradually adapted to this teaching style and was able to actively participate in class discussions. This way of learning has not only improved my language skills, but also made me more confident in expressing my opinions.
Looking back on this study abroad experience, I feel full of harvest. I not only learned knowledge, improved my language ability, but also made a group of like-minded friends. This experience made me more independent and confident, and made me cherish every opportunity to learn and communicate more. I believe that this study abroad experience will become one of the most valuable assets in my life.
